THE
PRAYER MINISTRY OF SHEPHERD OF THE DESERT
We firmly believe God is calling us to encourage His people to be more
sincere and more fervent in prayer. We ask God to speak with His Spirit to
move others into closer relationship with Him.
If
you need more information regarding prayer or prayer opportunities,
please contact the church office at 480-860-1188 X400.
PRAYER SUPPORT- We have approximately 50 people committed to
intercessory prayer. Intercessors receive prayer requests via the
telephone
or through e-mail. May we pray for you? Prayer requests may be sent
to: sotdprays@sodtaz.org.
When you join us for worship, PURPLE PRAYER REQUEST CARDS are located in the
pews and the narthex. They may be used to communicate anything for which you
would like our church community to pray. Prayer request cards can be put
into the offering plate on Sunday morning or into the "church box" on
the table by the guest book in the narthex.
WEEKLY PRAYER LIST- Each week a list of the prayer requests submitted
during the week, as well as the altar prayers offered on Sunday, is compiled
and placed in the bulletin as well as the narthex. Members are encouraged to use this list during
personal prayer time. The list is also made available to Bible studies,
Elders, and Care Ministers and
can be mailed to homebound members. New lists are available each Monday.
PRAYER VIGILS are held periodically to support our congregation. Prayer
vigils are also held in response to community, national, and global needs.
Please contact the church office to see when our next vigil will be held.
JUST PRAYER is quiet time in the
sanctuary. Just ask and you shall receive. Just listen for His
voice. Just open your heart. Just praise God. Just pray.

BIBLE STUDIES remain an important part of the prayer ministry. They
provide
spiritual growth, prayer support and fellowship. Checkout the Bible Study
page on this site or contact Pastor Rosnau for further information on the groups now in session.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and
petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace
of
God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your
minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
